Clinical therapist

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Therapist to join our team! We are currently accepting applications from CASAC-Ts, CASAC-P, CASACs, MHCs, LMSWs, LCSWs, and LMFTs. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to engage with diverse populations, and strong organizational and documentation abilities.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have a CASAC-T, CASAC, MHC, LMSW, or LCSW certification.

Position Summary:

The counselor will manage a caseload of patients within the program, performing essential tasks such as intake, assessment, treatment planning, individual and group counseling, referrals, case management, and record-keeping. They will ensure proper care coordination, reporting, and meeting all program requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage an assigned caseload of patients.
2. Conduct individual and group counseling sessions weekly (as assigned).
3. Perform intake and assessments as needed.
4. Assist in the development of culturally relevant treatment tracks tailored to meet the needs of patients and families.
5. Contribute to weekly utilization reviews according to established protocols.
6. Support the facilitation of monthly skills-based workshops focused on chemical dependency.
7. Help review and distribute incident reports as per agency protocol.
8. Provide feedback for employee performance reviews when requested.
9. Assist with preparation for weekly case conferences and reviews.
10. Help with the assessment and intake process.
11. Contribute to the clinical discharge planning process.
12. Maintain a goal of 10 billable units of service per day based on caseload.
13. Document patient information in NYC HRA STARS system as required.
14. Monitor patient toxicology testing.
15. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Per-diem

• 8-hour or 10-hour shifts
• 5 days a week, including one weekend shift

Location: Newfane, NY (15 minutes from Lockport, NY)
Experience: Preferred 1 year in addiction counseling
