Physician Associate

We are seeking a dedicated Physician Associate to help support adults struggling with substance use issues. In this role, the PA will be responsible for assessing new patients, determining the necessary level of care, and addressing health concerns in a residential, detox, or rehabilitation setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and symptoms.
• Diagnose conditions using clinical judgment and patient history.
• Carry out tests like urine analysis, blood work, and glucose monitoring.
• Work alongside physicians to create collaborative, patient-centered treatment plans.
• Implement treatment plans, including tests, medications, education, and referrals.
• Monitor the success of treatments and modify care as needed to improve outcomes.
• Provide patients with information to help them make informed decisions about their care.
• Ensure a safe and supportive atmosphere for patients and advocate for their needs.
• Collaborate with medical colleagues to provide high-quality, comprehensive care.
• Maintain up-to-date, confidential medical records.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Current New York State PA license.
• DEA certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Five years of professional experience.

Skills:

• Detail-oriented with strong decision-making abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with computer-based medical systems.
