RN Nurse Supervisor

Part-Time Weekends Only (7:00 PM - 3:00 PM)

Job Purpose

The RN Supervisor with Administrative Duties will assist in managing the nursing department for the weekend shift. This role involves performing the nursing process-assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation-under the guidelines of the State's Nurse Practice Act for Registered Nurses. The position coordinates resources, ensures timely and effective care, and facilitates interdisciplinary communication to promote resident and family satisfaction. Additionally, the RN Supervisor is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, reporting, and managing the nursing department in the absence of the Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON).

Education

• Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• CPR certification must be maintained.

Experience

• Minimum of two years of nursing experience, with at least one year in a supervisory role, is preferred.

Physical and Sensory Requirements

• Must be able to move frequently throughout the workday.
• Ability to speak and write in English in an understandable manner.
• Ability to manage the mental and emotional demands of the position.
• Must have adequate sight and hearing, or use prosthetics, to meet the requirements of the role.
• Ability to work independently with flexibility, integrity, and effective collaboration with residents, staff, and agencies.
• Must meet general health requirements, including a medical and physical examination.
• Ability to work with ill, elderly, disabled, and emotionally distressed individuals, as well as manage potential hostility.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 pounds, and perform physical activities like climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
• Ability to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergencies.
• May require travel to other Solaris Healthcare locations or meetings.
