Primary Care Physician Assistant

Join our dynamic team as a Primary Care Physician Assistant, where you will help treat adult patients with substance use disorders. The Physician Assistant will evaluate potential patients for admission, assign appropriate levels of care, and address any ongoing health concerns in residential, rehabilitation, or detox settings.

Main Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough health evaluations, reviewing patients' medical histories and assessing symptoms.
• Identify and diagnose conditions using clinical evidence and history.
• Perform lab tests like urine and blood analysis, as well as glucose monitoring.
• Work with physicians to create personalized, well-organized treatment plans.
• Implement treatment strategies with the help of diagnostic tests, medications, patient education, and referrals.
• Regularly review the effectiveness of treatments, modifying plans to achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Provide patients with relevant health information to aid in informed decision-making.
• Ensure a safe treatment environment and advocate for patients' rights and well-being.
• Cooperate with other healthcare professionals to offer holistic care.
• Maintain precise and confidential medical records.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Valid New York State PA license in good standing.
• DEA license.
• Compliance with NY Drug and Alcohol Program regulations.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• At least five years of relevant experience.

Skills:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with medical software and record-keeping.
• Excellent interpersonal communication.
