Behavioral Health Social Worker (LCSW)

At Surfpoint Recovery, an inpatient drug treatment program, clinical professionals have the chance to grow and enhance their careers. In this role, you will collaborate with clinicians, nurses, providers, and peer advocates to craft comprehensive care plans for clients.

The LCSW will provide supervision to LMSWs, helping them develop professionally while also strengthening their leadership and mentoring skills.

*This role offers a hybrid working model, allowing both in-person and remote engagement.

Responsibilities:

Support LMSWs and clinical staff in ensuring:

• Management of a caseload of 8-10 clients
• Conducting daily individual and group counseling sessions
• Developing individualized treatment plans, crisis interventions, and aftercare strategies
• Adhering to documentation requirements and progress notes
• Compliance with OASAS standards
• Participation in weekly utilization reviews based on clinical and administrative guidelines
• Assisting in organizing weekly case conferences and case reviews
• Supervising MSW student interns as required

Qualifications:

• Master's degree required
• Must be a licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State and in good standing
• SIFI certification preferred but not necessary (or a willingness to complete a SIFI course)
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
