Groups Recover Together is a provider of outpatient addiction medicine services, offering thorough treatment for opioid addiction. Our treatment model incorporates three essential components that have demonstrated effectiveness in helping individuals reclaim their lives: medication, weekly group therapy, and care navigation. Responsibilities:

At Groups Recover Together, Counselors are the lifeblood of our organization.

If group therapy is your thing, this is the job for you. This will be your primary emphasis as a Counselor. Groups is a company that challenges industry norms. You will not be required to handle every aspect of your members' care on your own. Along with the ability to be a part of the transformation in the lives of each of our members, as a Counselor, you are a key component of a cross-functional care team that includes prescribers, social workers, and psychologists. care navigators, peer recovery coaches, and office managers. The team works together in service to our members delivering a holistic clinical model based on the belief that counseling, medication and community are the foundation for achieving sustained recovery. Some of the key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate actively in the treatment team and become an addiction and recovery specialist, coordinating choices for member treatment with the help of our clinical experts.
  • Manage a schedule and workload that meets the demands of the office and area while also expanding your clinical skill set.
  • Lead ten to twelve 1-hour group therapy sessions per week (two to three per day) that build recovery skills and foster community by utilizing our outlined curriculum.
  • Document members progress, using outcome measures (Core Milestones) and client feedback (NPS scores).
  • Proactively engage in community relations activities
  • Distribute brochures and other materials promoting Groups and their objective to community stakeholders.
  • Attend and participate in community meetings related to substance abuse and addiction topics

Qualifications:

  • Master degree in the mental/behavioral health discipline OR students enrolled in Masters' programs pursuing the credentials in the following bullet point.
  • Active or currently under supervision to obtain the following credentials: MFT, LMFT, LPC, LPC-MHSP, LMSW, LCSW, LADAC level 1 and2, LSPE, Licensed Psychologist/Psy.D. RN and LPN also acceptable with experience leading therapeutic groups and supporting documentation.
  • Leadership experience in Group Therapy.
  • High comfort level with Technology: EMR, Telehealth software, Google products (Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets/Drive), mobile apps, etc.
  • Compassion, teamwork, a dedication to excellent treatment, and an investment in the success of members are all important.
  • Ability to work 2-3 evenings per week up to 9pm as needed.
  • Other recommended backgrounds, experience, and abilities include mental health, social work, drug abuse treatment, therapy, human services, social services, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
