Medical Social Worker (LCSW)

Surfpoint Recovery is an inpatient drug treatment program offering clinical professionals the chance to advance their careers. In this role, you will collaborate with fellow clinicians, nurses, providers, and peer advocates to design comprehensive care plans for clients.

The LCSW will supervise LMSWs, supporting their professional development while enhancing their leadership and mentoring capabilities.

*This position has the potential for a hybrid work arrangement, allowing both in-person and remote work.

Responsibilities:

Support LMSWs and clinical staff to ensure:

• Management of a caseload of 8-10 clients
• Conducting daily individual and group counseling sessions
• Developing individualized treatment plans, crisis interventions, and aftercare strategies
• Compliance with documentation and progress notes
• Adherence to OASAS standards
• Assisting with weekly utilization reviews in accordance with clinical and administrative protocols
• Preparing for weekly case conferences and reviews
• Supervising MSW student interns as necessary

Requirements:

• Master's degree required
• Must be a licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State and in good standing
• SIFI certification preferred, but not mandatory (or willingness to complete a SIFI course)
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
