Overview:

We know that addiction affects not just the individual, but also their families and communities. That's why we work closely with loved ones to provide education and support throughout the recovery process. We believe that addiction is a chronic disease that requires ongoing care and support, and we're here to help people every step of the way.

Responsibilities:

Counselors play a crucial role in the functioning of Groups Recover Together.

If your passion lies in group therapy, we have the perfect job opportunity for you as a Counselor. Here at Groups, we seek to challenge the industry status quo and provide comprehensive care to our members using a cross-functional team approach. You won't have to manage everything on your own, as you will be part of a team that also includes prescribers, care navigators, peer recovery coaches, and office managers. As a Counselor, you will play a crucial role in transforming the lives of our members. Our focused clinical approach is founded on the belief that counseling, medication, and community are the three cornerstones of sustained recovery. Some of the duties related to this position include:

  • Take part in the treatment team and gain valuable insights into addiction and rehabilitation. With the support of our clinical experts, manage treatment decisions that facilitate the member's recovery journey.
  • Your ability to balance your schedule in a way that best supports your clients and your own professional development is critical to your success as a clinician.
  • Lead weekly sessions that focus on fostering a sense of community, enabling participants to support one another and develop positive, healing relationships.
  • The use of Core Milestones allows you to assess the growth and development of members in a more objective, consistent, and reliable manner.
  • Engage in community relations efforts that focus on enhancing the quality of life for all residents
  • Use flyers and brochures to promote Groups and its objectives to members of the community, such as parents, teachers, and students
  • Play a vital role in promoting substance abuse awareness by being an active and supportive participant at community meetings focused on addiction concerns

Our team members enjoy numerous benefits, and we want you to take advantage of them. Here are some of the benefits you can expect in this position:

  • You can exercise your strengths as a counselor by leading group sessions that entail no mandatory one-to-one interactions or intake assessments.
  • For us, achieving a wholesome work-life balance is paramount, which is why we offer flexible scheduling options - we will collaborate with you to design a clinical plan that conforms to your lifestyle and our patients' needs.
  • Take part in a group of healthcare providers who are united in their devotion to patient well-being.
  • A compelling compensation and benefits program that encompasses a substantial time off benefit.
  • A robust benefits offering is available that covers health, vision, and dental care, a 401k plan with an employer matching contribution, as well as HSA and FSA plans, along with paid parental leave.
  • The significance of ongoing learning is acknowledged by your organization, which is why they support your professional development with paid time off for training and an annual stipend to offset the expenditure of continued education.
  • An unequivocal careers path built on merit. Groups is passionate about imparting therapists with the necessary resources to move up the chain, if they opt for it.

Qualifications:

  • Persons seeking to advance their knowledge in mental health.
  • This position is open for individuals who are pursuing credentials such as MFT, LMFT, LPC, LPC-MHSP, LMSW, LCSW, LADAC level 1 and 2, LSPE, Licensed Psychologist/Psy.D., RN, and LPN with appropriate documentation of experience leading therapeutic groups.
  • Effective communication skills are essential for leading group therapy sessions, as the facilitator must listen actively and respond thoughtfully.
  • Skilled in using the latest technology, including electronic medical records, telehealth software, Google's ecosystem of products such as Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, and mobile applications.
  • An approach that stresses compassion, partnership, an unwavering dedication to delivering excellent care, and a deep investment in member success.
  • Ability to adjust work schedule up to 2-3 evenings per week, continuing up to 9 pm as per operational necessities.
  • Along with exceptional qualifications in the required fields, candidates with exposure to mental health, social work, substance use disorder treatment, therapy, human services, social services, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) are given priority.
