As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you oversee the management of medication requisitions and administration, ensuring all policies and regulations are adhered to. You also collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to recognize any changes in residents’ condition that require immediate action and provide the best outcomes for residents. To qualify as an LPN, you are required to be licensed by the state, certified in CPR, and have at least two years of prior nursing experience

• Admissions policies and procedures are developed to ensure that all residents receive appropriate care and services while in the healthcare facility
• Dispensation of medication requested by pharmacists and physicians
• Medication administration
• Following infection control, emergency procedures, and other policies of the center is a must
• A resident's interdisciplinary team is an integral part of providing the best possible outcomes for them
• Being attentive, empathetic, and proactive in identifying abnormal changes in residents' condition is crucial so that healthcare professionals can take the necessary steps to prevent further deterioration or complications

Practical nursing education programs cover a range of topics including anatomy, physiology, nursing ethics, and basic nursing skills such as administering medication, recording vital signs, and wound care:

• An LPN is licensed by the State to perform nursing duties
• CPR Certification required
• An ideal candidate should possess at least two years of nursing experience
