Urban Recovery, a leader in the treatment and care for individuals battling substance and alcohol use disorders, is seeking compassionate Full-Time and Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team. Our facility provides comprehensive care, including detox, medication-assisted treatment, rehab, and recovery therapy.

As LPN, you'll provide personalized nursing care, following established procedures and standards under the guidance of a registered nurse. You'll collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals while growing your clinical skills.

Shifts Available:

• Dayshift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Overnight: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications safely and in accordance with physicians' orders.
• Educate patients on their medications, documenting their understanding and response in the medical record, and notifying the RN/MD of any concerns.
• Record patient activities such as admissions, discharges, transfers, and emergency room visits, notifying the RN/MD of any abnormalities.
• Monitor and document the progress of the detoxification process and patient responses.
• Maintain accurate records of treatments and interventions, alerting the RN/MD to any issues.
• Communicate with the treatment team regarding patient progress.
• Conduct withdrawal assessments and vital sign checks as required by treatment plans.
• Collect data for Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) programs, such as Census, Kardex, Risk Management, and Medication Event Reports.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current NY State Board of Nursing License and Registration.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Experience in addiction treatment is preferred.
