At our facility, we are dedicated to helping individuals recover from substance and alcohol use disorders by providing comprehensive care, including detoxification, medication-assisted treatment, rehabilitation, and therapy. We're seeking compassionate Patient Care Nurse to join our Full-Time staff and support our patients throughout their recovery journey.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Primary Responsibilities

• Administer medications promptly and safely, following physician instructions and nursing standards.
• Provide patient education about their medications, ensuring comprehension and addressing concerns with the medical team.
• Document patient activities, including admissions, discharges, and medical visits, and report abnormalities to the registered nurse or physician.
• Monitor and record patient progress during detox, noting behavioral and physical responses and reporting concerns as needed.
• Maintain thorough and accurate records of treatments and patient outcomes, escalating issues to the appropriate staff.
• Perform withdrawal assessments and monitor vital signs as outlined in patient care plans.
• Participate in quality improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing relevant data.

Qualifications

Education & Licensure:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active NY State Nursing License and Registration.
• CPR and BLS certifications required.

Experience:

• Two years of nursing experience, with preference for addiction care.

Skills:

• Proficient in documentation and computer systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills.
• Effective at time management and multitasking.
