Urban Recovery is focused on providing care for individuals with substance and alcohol use disorders. Our medical facility offers a full range of services, including detoxification, medication-assisted treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery therapy. We are currently hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team!

In this role, the LPN will deliver nursing care that meets individual client needs, utilizing established nursing techniques and procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will work alongside other dedicated professionals while enhancing your clinical expertise!

Shifts Available:

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications according to Safe Nursing Practice standards and physician orders.
• Educate patients about their medications, documenting their understanding and compliance; alert the registered nurse or physician to any irregularities.
• Document all patient activities, including admissions, discharges, transfers, and emergency room visits; notify the registered nurse or physician of any abnormalities.
• Track the detoxification process and the patient's behavioral responses; communicate any concerns to the registered nurse or physician.
• Record treatment interventions and patient responses; report any abnormalities to the registered nurse or physician.
• Collaborate with the treatment team on patient progress, notifying the registered nurse or physician of any issues.
• Conduct withdrawal assessments and monitor vital signs as dictated by the treatment plan.
• Gather data for Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) programs, such as census, Kardex, risk management, incident reports, infection control, and medication events; inform the registered nurse or physician of any irregularities.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
• Current NY State Board of Nursing License and Registration.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience.
• Preferred experience in addiction treatment.
