Clinical Practitioner LPN

Surfpoint Recovery specializes in treating individuals suffering from substance and alcohol use disorders. We prioritize patient care and offer comprehensive services, including detox, medication-assisted treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery therapy. We are currently hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to be part of our team.

LPNs are responsible for providing individualized nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses, using established techniques and standards. You'll collaborate with other professionals and expand your clinical expertise in this role.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time: Three 12-hour shifts (7 AM to 7:30 PM)
• Part-time: Two 12-hour shifts (7 AM to 7:30 PM)

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
• Educate patients on medication use and document their responses. Notify RNs or doctors of any abnormalities.
• Record patient activities, including admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Document detox progress and behavioral responses, reporting concerns to medical staff.
• Communicate patient progress with the treatment team.
• Conduct withdrawal assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Contribute to Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) programs.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active NY State Board of Nursing License and CPR/BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; addiction treatment experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills, along with computer proficiency.
