Certified Nurse Practitioner (APRN)

Overview:

A role has opened up for an Advanced Practice Nurse (NP/ APRN) with excellent autonomous practice abilities to join us at Groups Recover Together as a 1099 Provider. The position is located in one of our Virginia sites:

The town of Orange is located in central Virginia and is home to a number of historic landmarks, including Montpelier, the home of James Madison

The hourly wage that is being proposed is $100.

Schedule Based on Availability: The position requires a weekly workload of at least five hours, with the assistant free to determine their availability during Monday through Friday, including evenings.

At Groups, we employ the recognized gold standard treatment model for opiate use disorder, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). Our members regain control of their lives with the help of a blend of counseling and medication, an evidence-based solution recognized by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Association (SAMHSA) and American Society for Addiction Medicine (ASAM).

Responsibilities

Many Nurse Practitioners work in hospitals, clinics, private practices, and other healthcare settings:

• Assist in conducting client intakes. Evaluations are conducted by the counselor before the patient sees the provider.
• Patients’ clinical progress is closely monitored at regular group counseling sessions. Specialized counseling staff runs these sessions, with providers overseeing medication dosing and responding to patients' needs.
• Prescription authorization is a standard part of monthly panel visits with patients.
• In addition to recording patient information, providers are also responsible for reviewing and approving notes and reports from other members of their team. This ensures that there is consistent documentation across all providers and increases the accuracy of patient records

Qualifications

In order to qualify as a 1099 nurse practitioner, the individual must have obtained at least a Master's degree in nursing:

• The Autonomous Practice of NP/APRNs in Virginia Necessitates a Valid and Unburdened License.
• A Virginia-based DEA expert who operates solo with great efficiency.
• It is mandatory for healthcare professionals to hold the DEAX designation if they need to prescribe Buprenorphine or provide proof of 8 hours of qualified training according to SAMHSA guidelines. It's highly recommended that the healthcare professional have experience in the MAT/SUD space.
• Guarantee of Active Board Certification (NP/ APRN; Any Specialty)
• To meet the job criteria, the applicant should be able to work in-office at one of our Virginia locations for at least 5 hours per week.
