Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Overview:

Groups Recover Together is in need of a highly competent Advanced Practice Nurse (NP/ APRN) who is capable of working independently, to fill the role of a 1099 Provider in one of our Virginia locations:

Martinsville is a small town located in southern Virginia that is famous for its NASCAR race track

The proposed compensation for this position is $100 per hour.

Workload Based on Timing: This position requires a minimum of five hours of work each week, with a flexible work schedule from Monday to Friday, including evenings, based on availability.

Recognizing the effectiveness of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) in treating opiate use disorder, Groups adopts this evidence-based model, combining medication and therapy to empower members to take control of their lives. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Association (SAMHSA) and American Society for Addiction Medicine (ASAM) have identified MAT as the gold standard.

Responsibilities

Many Nurse Practitioners work in hospitals, clinics, private practices, and other healthcare settings:

• Help with the intake process. Clients undergo a thorough evaluation by the counselor before meeting with the provider.
• The clinical progress of patients is evaluated through regular group counseling sessions. These sessions are headed by specialized counseling staff, while providers are responsible for managing medication dosing and answering patient queries.
• Monthly panel visits provide patients with the chance to have their prescriptions authorized.
• Ultimately, meeting these documentation expectations is essential for maintaining a high standard of care within Groups, and providers should take this responsibility seriously. With proper training and support, providers can effectively utilize the EMR system to ensure the best outcomes for patients

Qualifications

In order to qualify as a 1099 nurse practitioner, the individual must have obtained at least a Master's degree in nursing:

• Independent NP/APRN Practice in Virginia Demands a Current and Free State License.
• A proactive DEA officer with a specified location in Virginia.
• Having the DEAX designation is a prerequisite for prescribing Buprenorphine or showing proof of 8 hours of qualified training as per SAMHSA guidelines. Those with associated experience in prescribing in the MAT/SUD area are preferred.
• Statement of Continuing Board Certification (NP/ APRN; All Specializations)
• The position demands the ability to work in-person at one of our Virginia locations for a minimum of 5 hours per week.
