Patient Support Supervisor

We are in search of Patient Support Supervisor to enhance our team. You will provide vital support to patients by helping them overcome barriers to treatment and keeping them actively engaged in their recovery journey. Your role will include modeling effective coping skills and fostering a sense of hope.

Available Shifts:

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, three days per week, including every other weekend.
• Location: 20 minutes from Lockport.

Main Responsibilities:

• Maintain a professional, empathetic, and supportive demeanor when interacting with patients.
• Regularly communicate with counselors and nursing staff about patient care.
• Encourage positive interactions among patients and staff members.
• Assist in transporting patients within the facility.
• Ensure patients participate in the program's scheduled activities.
• Conduct regular checks on patient rooms.
• Perform headcounts every two hours (four times per shift), including after meals.
• Monitor patients for unusual behaviors and relay observations to appropriate staff.
• Aid in de-escalating challenging situations with patients.
• Manage patient linens and laundry.
• Keep track of linen supplies and restock as necessary.
• Ensure all soiled linens are placed in the laundry bin by the end of each shift.
• Organize dirty laundry for housekeeping and deliver clean items back to patients.
• Search and document new admissions' belongings for contraband.
• Carry out additional tasks as requested by supervisors.
• Act as a positive example for both patients and colleagues.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of relevant work experience.
