We are seeking Healthcare Coordinator to be part of our compassionate team. In this role, you will help patients eliminate barriers to treatment and stay engaged in their recovery process. Your role will include modeling effective coping skills and inspiring hope in those striving for a healthier life.

Shift Schedule:

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, three days a week, including every other weekend.
• Location: Located just 20 minutes from Lockport.

Essential Duties:

• Engage with patients in a professional, empathetic, and supportive manner.
• Communicate regularly with counselors and nursing staff regarding patient care.
• Promote positive interactions among patients and staff members.
• Assist with transporting patients throughout the facility.
• Ensure patient participation in scheduled program activities.
• Conduct regular room inspections for compliance and safety.
• Perform census checks every two hours (four times per shift), including after meals.
• Monitor patients for any unusual behaviors and report observations.
• Help de-escalate difficult situations involving patients.
• Oversee linen and laundry management for patients.
• Monitor linen supplies and replenish them as necessary.
• Ensure all soiled linens are placed in the laundry bin by shift's end.
• Collect laundry for housekeeping and return clean items to patients.
• Document and search belongings of new admissions for safety.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
• Act as a positive role model for both patients and team members.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of relevant experience.

• Empathy-understanding the challenges of recovery.
• High emotional intelligence-recognizing that patient reactions are often not personal.
