Under the guidance of the Clinical Director, the Clinical Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the clinical operations of an inpatient substance abuse treatment program. This includes managing, supervising, and evaluating clinical staff involved in providing treatment and aftercare services to assigned clients. The role also involves delivering individual therapy, case management, advocacy, treatment planning, counseling, and crisis intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Works closely with the Clinical Director and counselors to establish appropriate treatment paths for program participants.
• Leads and supervises counseling staff in delivering trauma-informed, family-centered mental health care within the inpatient community.
• Conducts individual and group therapy sessions and participates in case discussions.
• Reviews, approves, and oversees clinical program materials to ensure their relevance and effectiveness.
• Ensures counseling staff receive comprehensive training on all treatment curricula.
• Manages patient assessments, assigns caseloads, schedules treatment activities, and evaluates staff performance.
• Reviews and approves all clinical documentation, ensuring proper record-keeping and compliance with quality standards.
• Conducts staff evaluations to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
• Serves as a liaison between the program and clients' families, providing recommendations for program enhancement.
• Regularly assesses clients to adjust treatment and development plans as needed.
• Performs periodic audits of client records to ensure compliance with governing regulations.
• Attends meetings led by the Clinical Director, contributing to discussions on program improvements and expansion.
• Engages in quality assurance, improvement, and utilization review efforts, proposing corrective actions when necessary.
• Upholds performance and professional conduct in alignment with organizational expectations.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a New York State (NYS) license/certification and be recognized as a Qualified Health Professional (QHP).
• Requires 3 to 5 years of experience in substance abuse treatment counseling and staff supervision.
