Urban Recovery is dedicated to helping individuals struggling with substance and alcohol use disorders. Our facility offers comprehensive care, including detox, medication-assisted treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery therapy. We are currently hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Certified Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic team!

As LPN, you'll provide individualized care based on client needs, utilizing established nursing procedures and techniques under the supervision of a registered nurse. This is a great opportunity to work alongside other professionals while advancing your clinical expertise.

Available Shifts:

• Dayshift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Overnight: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications safely and as prescribed, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Educate patients about their medications, documenting their understanding and reactions, and informing the RN/MD of any issues.
• Maintain accurate medical records, including patient admissions, discharges, transfers, and emergency room visits, alerting the RN/MD to any abnormalities.
• Track and document the progress of patients' detoxification, behavioral responses, and any concerns.
• Record all treatments and patient responses in the medical record, notifying the RN/MD of any irregularities.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Perform withdrawal assessments and monitor vital signs according to the patient's treatment plan.
• Collect data for Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) programs such as census, Kardex, and incident reports, and report any abnormalities to the RN/MD.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
• Active NY State Board of Nursing License and Registration.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience.
• Experience in addiction treatment is preferred.
