At Groups Recover Together, we provide exceptional clinical care and team-based support aimed at enabling patients to conquer their addiction and enjoy the benefits of a substance-free lifestyle.

Responsibilities

Our appreciation for the counselors that make up Groups Recover Together is immeasurable, as they provide an invaluable contribution to our organization.

Those who have a passion for group therapy will find themselves thriving in this role as a Counselor. At Groups, we strive to change the industry's standards by not expecting our Counselors to take on every aspect of member care singlehandedly. You have an opportunity to contribute to the life-changing process of our members. As a Counselor, you are vital to a cross-functional team, which includes prescribers, care navigators, peer recovery coaches, and office managers. This team is committed to providing our members with a holistic clinical approach that emphasizes counseling, medication, and community involvement as the foundation for sustainable recovery. You will be responsible for various tasks in this role, including but not limited to:

  • Work closely with the treatment team and build your expertise on addiction and recovery, managing the member's treatment plans by coordinating decisions supported by our clinical specialists.
  • Coordinate your work schedule with the goal of meeting the administrative requirements of the office while also supporting the clinical needs of the region and investing in your personal development.
  • Administer around 10-12 weekly therapy sessions to groups of individuals that aid in building up their abilities to recover from their struggles and promote a sense of belonging using our established course outline.
  • Record the progression of team members using Core Milestones and client feedback gathered through NPS scores.
  • Take the initiative to communicate with residents and business owners, asking what they need and how the organization can better meet their needs
  • Bolster participation in Groups' mission by providing members of the public with clear and concise written materials that inform them about the organization and its goals
  • Join the discussions in public assemblies that concentrate on combating drug addiction and its related concerns
  • Foster engagement with the Groups and its mission by distributing comprehensive written materials that shed light on their activities and objectives to the community stakeholders
  • Be an active participant in the community meetings that concentrate on subjects related to dependency on drugs and alcohol

We offer many benefits for our team members. Here are a few that you’ll enjoy in this role:

  • Have the liberty to use your counseling skills to lead group sessions without the necessity of conducting an intake or one-on-one meetings.
  • We prioritize the wellbeing of our staff, and one way we show this is by providing a flexible schedule that allows them to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
  • Become a member of a compassionate and team-oriented care team.
  • An attractive pay and benefits package featuring a competitive salary and generous vacation days.
  • A strong benefits program consisting of insurance for health, vision, and dental needs, 401k with employer matched contributions, HSA, FSA, and paid leave for new parents.
  • Take the initiative to elevate your career with the help of the benefits provided by your employer, including paid time off for training and an annual stipend for ongoing education expenses.
  • Our counselors at Groups have clear advancement opportunities based purely on their competency and hard work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree are required.
  • We are currently seeking applications from individuals who are currently under supervision for credentials in MFT, LMFT, LPC, LPC-MHSP, LMSW, LCSW, LADAC level 1 & 2, LSPE, Licensed Psychologist/Psy.D. RN & LPN. Applicants are required to provide evidence of their experience leading therapeutic groups, along with supporting documentation.
  • Conducting Group Therapy sessions requires a person to be well-versed in various techniques such as managing conflicts, establishing rapport, and articulating thoughts effectively while maintaining anonymity and confidentiality.
  • Being a quick learner, I have a high comfort level with advanced technologies such as EMR, Telehealth software, Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets/Drive, mobile apps, amongst others, making me an asset for any team I'm on.
  • By investing in the success and well-being of our members, healthcare providers can help ensure positive long-term health outcomes.
  • The job mandates the ability to work a few evenings per week, with the potential for shifts to end at 9pm.
  • An ideal candidate for the role would be someone with a background in mental health, social work, substance addiction therapy, counseling, human services, social services, or familiarity with medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
